How to Generate Barcodes in Bulk
Generating barcodes in bulk allows you to produce sheets of standard retail, shipping, or inventory barcodes in a matter of seconds. All processing is completed entirely in your browser — your data is never uploaded to a server, ensuring absolute privacy.
Two Ways to Input Values
Method 1: Pasting a List (Quick & Direct)
This is the fastest method if you already have a list of numbers or codes copied from another source:
- Select the "Paste values" tab at the top of the input panel.
- Type or paste your barcode values into the text area.
- Make sure to enter exactly one value per line.
- Check the "values detected" counter below to verify how many barcodes have been loaded.
Method 2: Uploading a CSV or Text File (For Structured Lists)
If you have your inventory records or product catalogs in a spreadsheet, you can export it as a CSV or TXT file and upload it directly:
- Select the "Upload CSV / TXT File" tab.
- Click the dashed area to browse files on your device, or drag and drop your file directly onto the zone.
- Configure CSV parsing options:
- First row is a header: Check this option to automatically skip the first line (useful if your spreadsheet column is labeled "SKU", "UPC", etc.).
- Start at row: Specify the exact row index to begin reading data from (default is 1, or 2 if skipping headers).
- Parse column: Specify the column index where your barcode values are located (e.g. column 1 for the first column, column 2 for the second column). This handles multi-column files seamlessly.
Advanced Options & Export Customizations
Expand the "Advanced settings" section to customize how your files are generated:
- Scale: Adjusts the barcode's pixel density and print resolution. Scale values of 2 to 4 are recommended for crisp scanning output.
- Bar Height: Sets the physical vertical length of the lines in 1D barcodes.
- Human-Readable Text: Toggle this option to print the decoded value digits directly beneath the barcode bars.
- Output Options: Customize the ZIP file names (using variables like sequence numbers
{nnnn}or the barcode{value}) and choose transparent or solid white image background fills. You can also include a masterindex.csvmap file inside the ZIP. - Export Format: Select the output delivery structure — download a compressed ZIP bundle of high-quality **PNG** or **SVG** image files, a single printable **HTML** sheet, or a spreadsheet **CSV** mapped with Code 39 fonts.
